Ruth Eze: ‘I Will Become A Lesbian If Genevieve Aks Me Out’

SINCE Ruth Eze came into the movie industry a few years ago, her profile has always been on the rise, and today she’s one of the actresses to reckon with.

However, reacting to the rise of homosexuals in Nollywood, the University of Benin graduate and Imo State-born role interpreter said that she would never be pushed to be a part of such immoralities.

But when pushed further, Eze confessed that her burning, lustful passion for sultry actress, Genevieve Nnaji, could make her have a re-think.

Hear her: “Only Genevieve Nnaji can make me throw caution to the wind and become a lesbian, but fortunately she is not. I am obsessed with Genevieve. She makes me wet! If she tells me to become her partner today, I’ll apologise to God and jump at the offer.

“Anyway, I’m not a lesbian but I am not against them. If they believe they can stand the consequences (of their actions), then they can do whatever they like with their bodies. I have good boobs that both men and women admire and can’t seem to take their eyes off me. My fellow ladies always harass me, to get intimate with them, but I haven’t tried such.”

Ruth Eze is a talented actress cum scriptwriter, whose mum did not initially approve of her coming into Nollywood until she assured her that she would not disappoint their family.

She has written and also starred in over a dozen hit movies including Girls Crip, Emotional Mistake, Desperate Hawkers and Pregnant Hawkers among others. However, Ezeh believes her best is yet to come.

“Princess is a colleague whom I met on the set of a production. Despite her malicious and overbearing persona, I still tried to relate with her for the purpose of the project that brought us together. I had complained about her untidy lifestyle and her troubles and even had to leave the room for another room when the original occupant had to leave for his home due to the fact that the hotel is noisy.

On this day, the alternative room wasn’t available to me and I had to put up with her in the room given to us to share. Prior to eventually sharing the room for the first time, I had told her that most times I get to relax after the day’s job and activities, later at night to respond to calls and text messages and that was just me prompting her out of courtesy and respect.

If one isn’t a bitter person, a phone call shouldn’t offend you so much. I mean especially if you can sleep in a hotel that has so much noise from the bar and she leaves the tv on! I turned it off the day I slept there. So I was on the phone she was still awake laying her head and watching tv before she turned to sleep barely 5mins into her sleep, she wakes up yelling.

I mean civil communication, if honestly you’re disturbed, is fair enough, but when I didn’t respond, she turned on the music on her phone and to its loudest volume and put the phone right over my head, at this point I was so embarrassed. My friend who had called kept asking if everything was ok as he could hear her voice.

I had to end the call. The following day I reported the issue. Now, this day after the day’s work, We retired to our hotel and I only went downstairs to ask for help from the reception only for me to return to the room and she had moved to my side of the bed which we had agreed on that I stayed due to my phone calls and work.I asked her to please excuse me that I needed to lay my head after I had waited for her for about 15mins with my excuse for her been that she probably is going through messages she missed earlier unknown to me she’d had a fight upcoming. She responded bluntly saying that she’s not moving from her spot.

That it was hers before she gave it to me and I said exactly so it’s no longer yours if you’re not just a troublemaker. Princess is controlling and rude. She has a deep cut under her arm which she said was given to her by her cousin apparently this does tells how much of a problematic and incorrigible person she is.

I have helped her to treat that deep cut and the production team bought her meds too. On her response, I called the production manager to explain again that she’s about to start again. When I dropped the phone, she started raining abuses on me and my family.
She abused my dad at which point I lost control, because I lost my dad only just recently and the wound is still fresh in my heart. I held her mouth to cover it and make her shut up. She attacked me..scratching my face, neck and tearing the shirt I had on.

She bit me on both hands and used her teeth to cut my gold bracelet. Upon this a senior colleague came in and separated us but when asked what happened she wouldn’t explain without trying to make it juicy and insulting my family. I hold family dearly.I am a private person and I respect people’s families too. She inflicted more injuries on me she pulled my natural hair a wig or weave. Her bites on me are here. Its unfortunate that she’s looking for sympathy in trying to tarnish my name.
The injury she sustained was out of defence and I have since apologized. An apology which she refused to acknowledge. Regardless of the what had transpired, I still took the pain to apologies to her but apparently she’s unforgiven and vengeful.

My only vengeance is this piece because God knows how to protect his own and I know that she intend to shame me but it’d turn around for my fame. I won’t be angry over the lesbian accusation. A clean heart fears none. I have never kissed a girl in my life. I would never think of going to blackmail an individual. Several folks have hurt me but life goes on.
My consolation is that I’ve been on a few sets and there are folks who can attest to my conduct. However, I forgive her for this and I hold no grudge. I have apologised for the wound because I should have stayed in control and not get furious which is my first but we’re humans and we all have our most stretched points.

After a stressful day one doesn’t need a troublemaker as a flat mate or roommate. I think that if my calls disturbed her as she claims she could ha e gotten herself a room as a big girl she had bragged to be. I don’t complain about her calls. Even when she messes up the room, I quietly clean it and ensure the rest of the job is done by the housekeepers of the hotel. This is what really happened. God bless.”

Kylie went for an edgy and street chic kind of look. Tom Ford's Fall 2015 collection is extremely popular amongst the celebs andI am sure we will spot more in the combo.

Marjorie Harvey went for a similar look to the runway. The model styled the look with a denim skirt, black top, and a feather statement necklace.

The patchwork knee boots are made from pure leather with distressed denim and woven leather detailing. Boasting a curved round toe and block heel with mid-zip fastening.

Khloe Kardashian & James Harden Reportedly Split

While Khloe Kardashian was hiking with her sister and husband Lamar, her boyfriend was at the strip club making it rain.

No worries though, according to Us Weekly, it turns out Khloe and James have been broken up for weeks — so he’s in the clear.

“She dumped him weeks ago,” the source tells Us Weekly exclusively. ‘Stay away from people who make you feel like you are hard to love,’ Khloe wrote in a cryptic Instagram post last month. EPL: Arsenal Win, Newcastle Zoom Out Of Relegation Zone

Arsenal edged closer to a top-four finish in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory at home to relegation-battling Norwich City on Saturday.

Amid pre-planned protests from home fans, the Gunners battled to victory over Norwich, who dropped to 19th in the table after Newcastle and Sunderland both picked up points earlier in the day.

Arsenal had more of the game before the break, but their visitors had the better chances, with Petr Cech having to make saves from Nathan Redmond at the beginning and end of the half.

The hosts finally broke through just before the hour mark when Olivier Giroud headed the ball back for Danny Welbeck to fire home.

With two games remaining, Arsenal are now eight points clear of fifth-placed West Ham, who have three games left, and sixth-placed Manchester United, who have four.

Norwich, meanwhile, are a point behind Sunderland and two behind Newcastle and safety, although Rafa Benitez’s men have played an extra game.

Newcastle moved out of the relegation zone for the first time since February thanks to a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at St James’ Park.

Andros Townsend opened the scoring for the hosts in the 58th minute when the winger curled in a brilliant free kick beyond goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

Karl Darlow was then the Magpies’ hero when he saved Yohan Cabaye’s penalty after Moussa Sissoko was penalised for a handball in the box.

Sunderland salvaged a point at Stoke City thanks to Jermain Defoe’s late penalty, but the 1-1 draw was not enough to see them avoid slipping into the bottom three.

Stoke broke the deadlock in the 50th minute when Marko Arnautovic reacted to Peter Crouch’s knock-down before striking home.

With seconds remaining, Geoff Cameron felled Defoe in the penalty area before the striker dusted himself down to score a dramatic leveller.

Cheikhou Kouyate made it 1-0 to West Ham in the 34th minute, heading in from close range via Dimitri Payet’s set piece.

The Hammers doubled their lead before the break through Mark Noble, who rounded off a tidy passing move by poking home.

Simpson: American Crime Story, has stirred up a lot of past issues; one of which being the confusing relationship between Kris and O.J. which, according to multiple sources who spoke to Star magazine, did in fact happen. “Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire,” one source insisted. “And there seems to be a lot of smoke where Kris and O.J. are concerned.” A lot of smoke indeed!

Not only has Kris been accused of sleeping with O.J. in the mid-seventies while she was engaged to pro golfer, Cesar Sanudo, but insiders also claim that Kris and O.J. had another fling while she was Mrs. Kardashian! One thing is for certain, Kris definitely needs to get her facts straight. In her 2011 autobiography, Kris Jenner…And All Things Kardashian, Kris stated at one point that she met O.J. when she was 19 years old. But then, in a later part of the book, Kris claimed that she had known the athlete since she was 17! So which one is it, Kris? And why does she feel the need to switch up the facts? Kris has already clearly lied about her O.J. timeline, which doesn’t bode well in her defense, and leaves us to wonder what else she is lying about.

Furthering the case is Star’s exclusive interview with Carlos Sanudo, the brother of Kris’ former fiance, Cesar. Carlos provided further info and said he is convinced that Kris cheated on Cesar with — you guessed it — O.J. Simpson back when the reality star was 17. So Kris DID know O.J. when she was 17, according to Carlos’ story, and they were much more than just acquaintances. “One night [Cesar] called me at 2 a.m. when he was on the road at a tournament,” Carlos revealed. “He said, ‘I think Kris is screwing O.J. over there! I know she’s got something going on with O.J. and I need you to take the key to my condo and go over there!’” Carlos never did visit Cesar’s condo that night and maybe that was for the best, after all, he could have been O.J.’s first victim if he had!

Kris isn’t exactly new to the affair rumor mill either, which makes her O.J. scandal even more plausible. After all, Carlos claimed that Cesar and her broke up after Cesar caught her in bed with her future husband, Robert Kardashian. And Kris has even admitted to cheating on Robert with soccer hunk Todd Waterman while they were married. What a tangled web! But O.J. and Kris’ affair didn’t stop once she married Robert. “Even though they were the best of friends, Robert could never shake the thought that O.J. and Kris had gotten too close for comfort,” an insider revealed. Talk about a sticky love triangle!

The Voice Nigeria: More excitement with episode two!

Sunday, 17^th April was another day of fun, excitement, intrigue and raw talent on display as our favourite coaches once again battled to win over some of the best voices on the continent.

At the end of the second episode, the coaches each had two talents in their camp.

#TeamWaje had the silk voiced Khemmie and the fun, powerfully voiced mother of two, Mojisola.

Ajegunle girl Linda Inneka and the youthful Prime both joined #TeamPatoranking while #TeamTimi won over the Motown-voiced Daivey Jones and aspiring rock star Armstrong Martins. Meanwhile, #Team2baba won two Davids – the soul-voiced David and the versatile David Operah.

The Kaduna State Government has trained 30 practicing journalists in the state to enhance their capacity.

Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, the Special Adviser, Media and Communication, to the state governor, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that the workshop would help journalists to affect society through their reports and programmes.

Adekeye explained that the thrust of the two-day capacity-building workshop was sponsored by the state government for journalists and programme producers in the state.

“In the daily grind of gathering and reporting news, the space for reflection on media practice and more effective ways of discharging the duty of the press is not always available to these practitioners.
“We consider that such a workshop should help to add value to them for the collective benefit of the people of Kaduna state,’’ the aide said.

Adekeye disclosed that helping to raise professional standards by facilitating training for journalists is in the broader public interest.
He said the first set of 30 participants was selected to provide a manageable class size for a workshop that is designed to be interactive.

According to him, further interventions in capacity-building for Kaduna media professionals are expected to continue in the next 12 months.

NAN also reports that the facilitators from The Journalism Clinic took the participants through, impact reporting, explainers, advanced research skills and basics of multimedia story-telling.
Other areas covered were content and context, fact-checking and verification in an age where user-generated content and the citizen reporter are redefining journalism.

Mr Taiwo Obe, a fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, led the facilitators.
Obe, who explained that his 36-year sojourn in journalism has left him in no doubt that journalists are actually storytellers, who in their reports narrate the facts of life in the diverse sectors in which people live and operate.

He said journalists can only do this effectively when they are alert to the stories around them, and are equipped with the professional character to ethically pursue these stories, unearth the facts, verify the facts, and publish news stories that exhibit the highest standards.

The workshop was attended by journalists from the print and broadcast sectors.
The participants, who commended the state government for the initiative, said that they have been exposed to new tools and better ways of doing their jobs.

In an interview with Mr Luka Binniyat, Vanguard Newspapers correspondent in Kaduna, said the programme was worth a while and has exposed him to a wide range of possibilities that would improve professionalism to enable one go into creative venture.
According to him, the training has given him a missing exposure and the potential for creating wealth.

He called on the state government to make such workshop available to as much it can and also encourage entrepreneurs to facilitate such kind of training.

On his part, Daily Trust Kaduna Bureau Chief, Mr Andrew Agbese, said the workshop went beyond his expectation and prayed the gesture be extended to more journalists.
He said: “It was quite interesting and timely because at this age where information gathering and news reporting is technologically driven, it is only right that a journalist should equip himself with the modern tools and knowledge.

“And the workshop coming at this time serve this purpose; it deepened our knowledge on the use of Internet to gather news and do our reporting more effectively.’’
However, he noted that such training was not the duty of any state government, but rather the responsibility of the NUJ and employers of journalists.

“I can say it is the duty of the union and the media organisations we find ourselves in, but due to the peculiar situation we find ourselves where some media organisations cannot even pay salaries.
“I think the Kaduna state government leveraged on that and think of doing more of that kind of workshop for practicing journalists in the state because at the end of the day it is going to be the beneficiary of objective and analytical reportage,’’ he said.

He said that the government would also save itself from quacks and half baked journalism, adding that it will also guide the journalists in doing developmental reporting.
Similarly, Mr Saxone Akhaine of Guardian Newspapers, said the workshop had exposed him to a lot modern trends in journalism, especially the multimedia aspect.

Gucci Fans In FCT React As Advert Gets Ban In UK

Some fans of Gucci, an Italian fashion brand, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Friday expressed mixed feelings over the recent ban of Gucci advertisement in the UK.

Gucci, which is an Italian fashion brand, has been prohibited from using an advertisement in the UK which features what the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) describes as an “unhealthily thin” model.

The ASA ran the rule on the fashion house’s new ‘The Cruise 2016’ campaign, which first appeared in Britain in December 2015.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2016, the ASA of Britain ruled that the advert was “irresponsible” and that the model looked “unhealthily thin’’.

The fans expressed their divergent views in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

They told NAN that the advert was a way of encouraging upcoming and young stars of starvation while others think otherwise.

Mr Gabriel Echeta, a public servant said that he did not subscribe to young people getting themselves worked up in order to look fit for advert.

He added that being slim, a criteria for most modeling should not mean underweight.
“Sliminess is a natural endowment for some people, so people that have tendency of being fat should not over work themselves trying to look thin because it endangers their health,” he said.

Similarly, Mrs Evelyn Maduka, a fashion designer said that she liked the ban because the rate at which some fashion homes like Gucci use thin girls “is alarming and calls for professional intervention’’.

According to her, Gucci is an international designing outfit that attracts fame, therefore has driven so many girls to go extra mile in order to identify with it.

In the same vein, Mrs Grace Obinna, a teacher expressed delight and joy over the ban, stating that such adverts apart from driving most girls to go out of their way to look thin, could endanger their lives.

Mrs Obinna advised that other models, prospective ones and fashion homes that go that far should be sanctioned with immediate effect.
She also urged young models to maintain their stature and remain healthy “because thinness is not an attribute of beauty’’, adding that “only the living can model’’.

However, Miss Adanna Ejiofor, a student of the University of Abuja while condemning Gucci of using underweight model for advert, called for avenue where plump and moderate looking individuals could also be used for modeling.
“Though I love Gucci products, I feel that people, especially young girls that go as far as starving themselves do so to be seen as fit to be used for adverts.

“I will suggest that the fashion industry across the world should look into the issue and come out with possible ways of making provision for people with plump and average body as well.
“By so doing, people will have choice and also minimise the rate of going hungry just to look or become thin for advertisement,” she said.

On the contrary, Mrs Edna Nkwa, an entertainer said that she did not see anything wrong with Gucci using underweight “because they are not magicians to know underweight persons’’.
Nkwa said that the most important thing was for the person to meet up to the expectation of the company or the outfit that hired the model.
