Former Liverpool winger Steve McManaman expects to see this season's duel for the Premier League's Golden Boot between Mohamed Salah and Tottenham's Harry Kane, who leads by one on 22,  be a regular occurrence.

Salah has been a sensation since his £38million summer move from Roma, scoring 28 in 34 matches, and his average of 93 minutes per goal is the best in the Premier League - four minutes better than Kane.
While such form in his first season is something of a surprise McManaman believes the Egypt international has all the attributes to make it a regular occurrence.
"He looks like he will score goals for a long time," said the 45-year-old, speaking at a Liverpool Legends training session ahead of a meeting with their Bayern Munich counterparts at Anfield next month.
"You looked at Harry Kane three years ago and you thought 'wow, he's scored 25 this year' and you always expected him to go on the following year and score another 25 because he is one of those centre-forwards.
"It was like when Robbie played or Michael; you always expected them every single year because of the movement and the goals they scored so to score another 25, no problem.
"And he (Salah) looks as if he will do it every single year now. If he keeps on settling in and improving you fancy him to score all the time.
"Every single game he just seems to be scoring and surprising everyone and even when he is missing chances he is in the right position.
"Harry is up there on his own - I know he has Son (Heung-min) or Dele Alli up there sometimes - but he is the focal point and a different type of centre-forward, albeit a fantastic centre-forward.
"Mo Salah will certainly score different types of goals to Harry Kane just because of the position and movement he has."
Fowler, who scored 183 goals in 369 appearances for the Reds, said Salah's record this season spoke for itself.
"I think it is fairly obvious for everyone to see. The pace he has means he will always get chances and he has managed to put a lot away," he said.
"All right he has missed some but I'd be more worried if he wasn't getting them. You can't argue with it.
"He is getting in positions when maybe you think he shouldn't be getting there but the pace he has means he can get away from defenders and is good over a few yards and in tight spaces where he can move away from defenders.
"You look at the goal against Tottenham the other day and he had no divine right to score that one from where he was - but to manoeuvre his body to get into positions where he can get shots away I think is brilliant.
"A lot of the time he gets his shot away early and when a forward does that and the keeper is not ready you will probably score a lot more than you will miss."

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, August 2, arrested a level six officer of the Accounts Department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Christy Olabode, for an alleged fraud to the tune of N100 million.

Also arrested was her younger brother, Abdul-Shehu Obaze, a staff at the Commercial Department of FAAN in Ilorin, Kwara State, and Dominic Ojo, an IT officer at FAAN Headquarters, Lagos.
Her arrest followed an anonymous petition, which indicated that she allegedly diverted the said sum, by inserting names of non-FAAN staff into its payroll.

She allegedly conspired with Obaze, to perpetrate the fraud. Obaze was found to have maintained not less than eight accounts in seven new generation banks, which were used to receive the funds for onward distribution to “several high ranking officers within the FAAN”. The funds were being paid into his various bank accounts with the narrative, “Furniture Allowance”.

However, while allowance for FAAN's furniture is usually paid once in three years, Obaze received the “allowance” several times within a year. Investigations carried out by the EFCC revealed that the fraud had gone on since 2013. It unearthed a payroll with names of many dead, retired and disengaged staff of FAAN listed against Obaze's different bank accounts.

Upon interrogation, Obaze, a level nine officer, confessed that other FAAN officials were involved in the massive fraud, including Olabode's husband who works in the Human Resources department of FAAN. Olabode and Ojo currently enjoy administrative bail, while Obaze remains in EFCC custody. They would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Shehraz Sarwar, 38, has been jailed after causing panic and tears among travelers by shouting 'Allahu Akbar'

Man jailed for 6 weeks after shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and 'boom' on Birmingham-bound flight

Shehraz Sarwar, 38, has been jailed after causing panic and tears among travelers by shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and 'boom' on a Birmingham-bound Emirates Boeing 777 flight from Dubai. He's been jailed for 10 weeks after a Birmingham crown court heard that some of the 347 passengers burst into tears after becoming frightened by Sarwar's shouting during a turbulence-hit landing on February 1, 2016.

Prosecuting counsel told the court that Sarwar had caused difficulties from the start of the flight, twice refusing to put his seat belt on during take-off and throwing food around the cabin.

He said:
"There was terrible turbulence during the flight and some passengers were very frightened. The defendant started chanting Allahu Akbar over and over again and very loudly. People were getting very distressed with his behaviour. When the plane finally landed, he shouted 'boom'. It left some passengers in tears while one man angrily confronted the defendant before being told to sit down by cabin staff. Police were then called and the defendant was arrested."
Mr Balbir Singh, defending lawyer argued that Sarwar had been upset after attending his grandmother's funeral in Pakistan.

He said:
"There was considerable turbulence. One of the cabin crew, with 14 years' experience, said it was the worst landing she had ever experienced. Mr Sarwar was scared during the flight. He prayed, chanting 'Allahu Akbar', which translates as 'God is Great'. When the plane landed he did shout out 'boom'.
"It was a very foolish thing to do and he can't really explain why he said it - it was the height of foolishness. He is very sorry for his actions and realises what distress this caused to other passengers."

Borno Gov. has directed security agencies to investigate diversion of large quantities of rice

Borno Governor orders probe of alleged diversion of rice meant for feeding IDPs, blames opponents

Borno Government has directed security agencies to investigate alleged diversion of large quantities of rice meant for feeding Internally Displaced Persons in the state.
The rice, supplied by the National Emergency Management Agency for the feeding of the IDPs in the state, was allegedly diverted by some government officials.

The directive is contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Malam Isa Gasau, the Special Adviser on Communications and Strategy to Governor Kashim Shettima, in Maiduguri.
Gusau said that the governor gave the directive, while hosting heads of security agencies and members of the State Executive Council to a Ramadan breakfast at the Government House in Maiduguri.
He said that the directive followed widespread allegations that some government functionaries were diverting food supplies meant for the feeding of the IDPs to personal use.
"Governor Kashim Shettima has directed security agents to investigate and arrest anyone found culpable in the alleged diversion of rice meant for the feeding of the IDPs in the state.
"The directive followed the circulation of video clips and still pictures on social media alleging that some officials of the State Emergency Management Agency are re-bagging rice meant for the IDPs’ feeding for onward sales in the market," he said.
The special adviser said that Shettima, however, blamed the development on certain politicians who were bent on bringing down his administration at all costs.
